WE LOVE TO KNIT !

We are a group of knitters of all skill levels from around the Annapolis, MD area. Our meetings are held the first Tuesday of every month from 7-9 PM at the Annapolis Elks Club, 2 Pythian Drive, Edgewater, MD. New members and visitors are welcome to attend a meeting and hopefully join us. Dues are $25 annually and support speakers and activities throughout the year. At every meeting we share our current projects and knitting needles and yarn are usually in our hands.

Check our our Ravelry group ...SOUTH RIVER KNITTING GUILD to see what members have been knitting. More information about us in the posts below.

MARCH 4 MEETING CANCELLED due to weather again!

*********************************************
  February 17 Noni Designs Workshop

Four members attended a Noni Designs workshop on finishing our "Two Flavors" bags.  We chose different colors and different embellishments to complete our projects and learned tricks and tips to make a unique bag.  Nora had us think about and then explain our "good, better, best" options to take our projects to new and exciting levels of completion.  All in all a great day spent inside out of the snow and ice.
Lee, Karen and Teresa with the bags before the finishing.
The first step was adding the metal opening and beading around it.  Here're some of the bags to that point.

Some of us were able to get at least one of the two bags to an almost finished point with embellishments:  red has sparkle rivets; blue has seed beads and black has Cabuchon rivets.
